Originally a Chatham super market, Edward Yaldoo acquired the building and opened University Foods in its original location on Trumbull and Forest. After being a
part of the Woodbridge community for nearly 20 years, Edward along with his son Norman decided to become a part of the resurgence happening in Midtown Detroit. With the help of a dedicated and loyal staff, Norm and Ed opened the current grocery market location on the corner of Warren Ave. and the Lodge Freeway.
